That would be kind of hilarious! Good luck with the interview!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Unsalted butter- it is way better for cooking, IMHO. It's just as easily available in stores around here as salted butter.

I grew up with salted butter but converted to unsalted when I joined forces with Tom.

When we actually put something on a piece of bread or bagel or whatnot, we use the buttery spread which has a nice flavor to it, I assume it's lightly salted.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Too bad UPS typically won't actually come up to my apartment... and actually, I think UPS is usually a guy. I have gotten more stuff mail order in the past month than I did in years in my old place. Being at home makes it much more appealling!

My boss just came in to ask why on earth I was in at 8 am.

I'm tarnishing my reputation. Or setting up unreasonable expectations.

Ok, they know me better than that....

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

unreasonable expectations

Spin it.

"Why on Earth are you in at 8 a.m.?"

"Jetlag. I just got back from California."

"Oh."

"Yeah, if you ever really need me to come in early on a Monday, you're going to have to give me an all-expenses-paid four-day weekend on the West Coast first."

Noah and I are dancing with Jack Black on the TV this morning. Granted, I'm dressed and he's in his underpants and a tshirt. I have zero desire to start my day.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I rode my bike to work today - it was 32F out. I froze my hands, and I otherwise managed to avoid getting all sweaty. But the 3 1/2 mile ride got me all tired out, which is weird as I rode 20 miles on Saturday without a problem.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm being all schedule-y productive this morning. We bought a new couch yesterday, but before the couch can be delivered, we need the Salvation Army to come pick up the current couch.

I only have Fridays off. I also VERY MUCH need to get my car in for an oil change and almost certainly new rear brake pads and a drive belt.

(This is like one of those logic puzzles; you put the couch in the car and leave the fox with the old couch...)

We scheduled the new couch to be delivered on the 18th, because of all the other stuff that has to happen on Fridays between now and then.

We don't want to be couchless for more than a week, but we DO want to be couchless for several days so that we can work on that part of the hardwood floor. So I'm going to try to schedule the Salvation Army pickup for the 11th. That gives us a week between old couch leaving and new couch arriving.

And the aforementioned car maintenance is scheduled for THIS Friday, the 4th.

I need a secretary.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

In my limited experience, couches never arrive on their delivery date. I don't know how it works on the departing side, though.
