Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, DJ!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is the brief calm before the day takes over. I'm gonna pour myself a cup of coffee and try to grade a paper before I need to do anything else.

I do love the Thanksgiving-to-New Years decorated period. Sure, it's dark when I get home. But that's so the lights will look extra pretty.

He's totally supporting his son, going so far as to say "I stand beside him with an axe!" -which is oddly heartwarming.

That is sweet.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday, DJ!!

I am off to shower and then drive up to my sister's for the day.

I've missed Natter for the past couple of weeks, man. Not even been a lurker. Boo.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jen! Did you move? How are things?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Daisy Jane!

My last apartment had a whole tiny room that was perfect for a tree. This one doesn't really have anywhere unless I find other storage space for everything on my corner table. And I'm severely short on storage space. No tree for me!

I woke up a whole half hour later than normal. Or got up a half hour later, I should say. Work thinky things keep preoccupying my brain in the wee hours of the morning as I toss and turn. But I suspect I'd be mostly awake anyway. I just wish I could sleep in better.

I had Criminal Minds and Supernatural dreams last night. I'm surprised I didn't dream The Mentalist too. It was quite a week for all those shows.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am putting away some furniture and moving around some more before the tree goes up this weekend.

Between Criminal Minds, the Mentalist, and even Grey's Anatomy, a lot of recent shows felt more season-finale-ish instead of sweeps-stunt-y to me. Does anyone else feel that way? I liked it.

Grey's covered so much time--when in hell is their next episode? They were definitely bigger episodes, though I think GA felt big because of the time thing. The others (including Supernatural) had a huge emotional impact. Supernatural's not back until January. Not sure about The Mentalist. We only have a week's break from CM, which is good, because I worry. Hella sweeps. Which I read somewhere that Fox may have won for the first time.

huge emotional impact

Yeah, I think that's the difference -- they were real storyline episodes, instead of just blowing up a building or bringing on fancy guest stars or whatever.
