Punishingly Intricate

Because people who actually would show up on time for things don't have jobs.

This. It's really bugging me too.

And emailing work to a known vacationer? Also, rude.

I am eating a most delicious apple!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

In Italy, an American mother gets called into a parent-teacher conference, because her child was failing at lunch.

At issue, the teacher informed me, was the meat course. My kid was consistently skipping the bistecchina, and something had to be done.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He's coming home so we can go buy a turkey and other kind of important stuff.

You're made of brave stuff, going shopping today. I think I've done it by mistake, and it was terrible.

Well, it's today or skip Thanksgiving, so. Actually since we are on a school break the town population is down by about 30,000, so it might be nicer than usual. Certainly nicer than a football Saturday at the grocery.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The husband and I have to go shopping before tomorrow afternoon. I'm thinking tonight around 11PM.

Always Anti-fascist!

And Dana quotes Dana....awesome. (I just watched that again a few weeks ago. I'm good, but if I remembered that that well after years, I suspect Oliver Sacks would be calling me.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I failed to consider that baking my apple pie the afternoon before Thanksgiving means that I will have an apartment that smells like nummy apple pie all afternoon and night and not be able to eat any until tomorrow.
