I think Kat knows everyone's hoods. She gets around LA.

HA! That sounds naughtier than it needs to. And I barely leave the house now that I have a kid who can only go 1 hour between pee breaks and won't use adult sized toilets.

But perhaps this is just a testament to the fact that I eat out too much.

(BTW, my favorite current thing? $5 pasta at Pasta Pomodoro on Wednesday. They do a mean baked rigatoni).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

$5 pasta at Pasta Pomodoro on Wednesday.

What now! Is this just an L.A. thing? I like their...something with curly pasta with chicken. Although it was better the first time I had it; either they changed their menu or the places in San Francisco and Oakland have different menus.

PC - they have a 5 for $5, so it's a limited cheap menu. (Are you describing the gemelli with smoked chicken in a cream sauce?)

I don't know if it's just an LA thing or not, but it's wonderful.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That sounds naughtier than it needs to.

First time I typed it it was just "Kat gets around." I edited myself for your modesty.

I wonder if I have a Pasta Pomodoro near me. First I need to categorically work out why/if cream sauces seem to be a migraine trigger unless I make them myself. I haven't seen an ingredient list yet that tips me off. But it's the sort of trigger I can forestall by taking anti-nausea meds ahead of time.

Yes! Although the first time I had it, it was some other curly pasta. That started with an R. Let me check my records...

Rigatoni! It was rigatoni with smoked chicken in a cream sauce. And they did not skimp on the chicken. It was yummy.

I'll see if they're doing that 5 for $5 here. I'm on the mailing list, and I haven't gotten anything about it.

I'm waiting for sarameg at Starbucks (near the airport) to call me and I realized I don't have her cell number anymore. ARGH.

If any of you have her cell can you text it to me?

Nebbermind. I found it in a 2 year old old LJ post.

Damn you all! I totally want smoked chicken in cream sauce now, but I see that Pasta Pomodoro is only in California! *sigh*

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If it makes you feel any better, Vortex, I'm in California and not reasonably near one.

Sorry, Kat. I could have sworn I had it, because she has called me, but I can't find it on my phone.

Is Burbank the closest one to you, ita?

I don't have it either, Kat. I thought I had it in an old email, but apparently not.
