Angel: Will you just shut up for once?! Illyria: What? Angel: My God, the speechifying. Has it ever occurred to you that now might not be the best time for when-we-were-muck stories?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, Cass! I forgot (again) to give you that NASCAR romance I bought for you two years ago.

I need to set a reminder for myself. Or just mail it.

Or wait for her to come to your house.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Sue, do you know if he's read the Physics of NASCAR? Allyson got it for me for Christmas last year and it's pretty awesome!

That book looks awesome. That's part of dad's Xmas present now. Nifty.

I fear the Nascar romance but you just know I am going to read it. And, when it gets awful, will text you choice excerpts. Sharing is caring.

This isn't really effective with either Plei or I. I was at her house on Saturday...

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford faces ethics charges

Our former governor is being investigated for practices such as getting a mysterious $135K discount on a real estate purchase and not reporting it, among other things. Then there was the $80K *raise* his wife got while working at NC State...

Glad to see them go. Weaselly Easleys.

Yeah, Cass has been at my house often since I picked it up. I mean, I bought it before we moved. Unlike you (with the Batman Year One, I see her every couple of months, so I sort of space out. And hey! I remembered to give her her Nubar Wildlife polish this time.

Sue, do you know what driver(s) he likes?

I don't. I think he liked Dale Earnhart, but I am not sure about today. Can check with my nephew, though.

Is it super sciencey? I was looking at that, but I am not sure if he'd like it or not. My brother and I don't have much of a relationship, so I don't know his likes and dislikes.

As to the mystery meeting...it was basically the minister saying that through the six months of his transition, you guys have been great, and he wanted to say thanks. There was also some stuff about how he values diversity. And how we might encounter some otugh times, but he has every confidence in us and that we should feel proud to be public servants. Then there was a big-ass CAKE!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hippos!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay cake!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Did the big-ass CAKE come with heart meds? Because, really, super-secret all-hands big-boss fear-my-hyphens meetings are prone to causing a little anxiety in these difficult times.

The kicker was near the end of the speech, when telling us to enjoy cake and coffee, he initimated that he doubted anyone was really goign to go back to the office, so to stick around for as long as we wanted and mingle. And when the minister hints that I don't have to go back to work, I don't. I'm home now.
