Sue, do you know what driver(s) he likes?

I don't. I think he liked Dale Earnhart, but I am not sure about today. Can check with my nephew, though.

Sue, do you know if he's read the Physics of NASCAR? Allyson got it for me for Christmas last year and it's pretty awesome!

Is it super sciencey? I was looking at that, but I am not sure if he'd like it or not. My brother and I don't have much of a relationship, so I don't know his likes and dislikes.

As to the mystery meeting...it was basically the minister saying that through the six months of his transition, you guys have been great, and he wanted to say thanks. There was also some stuff about how he values diversity. And how we might encounter some otugh times, but he has every confidence in us and that we should feel proud to be public servants. Then there was a big-ass CAKE!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hippos!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay cake!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Did the big-ass CAKE come with heart meds? Because, really, super-secret all-hands big-boss fear-my-hyphens meetings are prone to causing a little anxiety in these difficult times.

The kicker was near the end of the speech, when telling us to enjoy cake and coffee, he initimated that he doubted anyone was really goign to go back to the office, so to stick around for as long as we wanted and mingle. And when the minister hints that I don't have to go back to work, I don't. I'm home now.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My current favorite CNN headline:

Paula Deen Hit In Face With Ham

It didn't. And you know, I think our new gov't is so used to being in opposition, they don't really understand, on a personal level, what kind of power they weild. The min. mentioned three times how surprised he was with how many people showed for the meeting, and we were like, "Dude, you're the minister. You say jump, we jump."

GOing to Costco now...

That might be the best headline ever. And I love Paula Deen.

A half day might be almost as good as anxiety meds.

As for me, I wasted enough time, sent out a draft, and I think I might go get a mani-pedi before I go to a phonebank.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And hey! I remembered to give her her Nubar Wildlife polish this time.

It was my birthday* present!

*June 17...

I am cleaning my house today because mom arrives tonight. But when I finish? MANICURE! I am going to have the prettiest nails in a few hours.
