I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am watching The Other Boleyn Girl and wincing at both the mangling of history and at the ridiculous way the characters act.

Later, my choir is singing the national anthem at a hockey game.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Buffy is trying out for the cheerleading squad.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have Discovered Martinez. It was fun! Got to see an open rehearsal, some up close magic at the magic dinner theater that I've been meaning to check out but never have (have more incentive to actually go to a meal/show there, now), lots of samples of yummy food that were each tiny but added up to me feeling like dinner will not necessary tonight, a moderate smount of walking so I don't feel like a total slug but neither am I all worn out, AND a tote bag full of brochures and promotional materials. Good job, Chamber of Commerce.

Now for some DVR clearance.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I've been more productive today than I realized. I've cleaned, done shopping, assembled a new water filter pitcher, organized three years worth of paperwork into three piles (trash, save, shred), swept, done dishes and laundry, closed some open code issues, and even exercised.

Now I'm planning to make pork stir fry.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Today's been a crazy day here. K has had a migraine and Noah had to get the second half of his H1N1 Vaccination (which meant a 45 minute line). Then there was ice skating for the first time and barbecue and the usual potty training drama. Now cleaning for sarameg et al.

Don't worry about it much! Really!

How did ice skating go?

I got a fair amount done today, both outside the house and in. I'm stunned at how cheaply you can get a terabyte of storage an a region-free DVD player. Installing the drive was a bit stressful, and it's McGyvered in for now, but my head hurt too much to go back out and get the remaining bit I needed.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I pulled out my Wire DVDs. Man, this show is good.

Indeed.

My neighbor is having her sewer line snaked. Roots. She said she just calls and they come out and it's free. I forgot to ask her who she calls (city?) Loki's fascinated.
