So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Did I say "when I was in HS"? I mean, umm, when someone who once met my sister was in HS.

Exactly! Not you or me at all!

We did them all proper-like in college. I dimly recall it being a fun night. We might've moved on to harder stuff after we ran out of whipped cream related devices.

I can speak with authority on a small, select handful of intoxicants thanks to my college years. My one regret is that I never tried E.

hip deep in pie

Did I mention I saw all the Twihards camped out in front of the theatre in the pouring rain this morning waiting for tonight's show? They were so cute.

One of my coworkers went to a movie tonight and said that some people in the Twilight line were weeping, clearly overwhelmed with anticipation.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

oh sorry. I should have seen in the corner by the elevator. Also when asked, he had no good explanation as to where he was headed (he mentioned a teacher on the 3rd floor....but he doesn't have access to keys or the elevator and there was no stairwell nearby) and he was coming from a teacher on the 4th floor. I'm on the 2nd floor, so that seems a roundabout route even to me.

But yeah. It wasn't as good as the teacher who got the kid who smelled like unsmoked pot... he had a whole bunch sewn into the liner of his jacket and a wad of cash so apparently he was also selling.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

When my mom was growing up, her parents would speak to each other in Yiddish when they didn't want the kids to know what they were saying. My dad somehow grew up with parents who switched between German and English all the time, and a grandmother who lived with them who spoke only German, and he can still barely put a sentence together.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I didn't know what a whipit was until I was in my thirties.

When I did one with a Buffista...

Um...

When I was in high school, getting high from spray air or other spray stuff was called huffing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

made your voice sound like it does if you inhaled helium.

If it's nitrous oxide like it used to be, it actually makes your voice deeper. Bigger molecules.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

$20 seems worthwhile. 9 hours??

Where does SW even go that takes 9 hours?

they will still speak in Farsi even if he's around, thus excluding him from the conversation. That does strike me as rude.

My aunt's family will do this sometimes (Tagalog, not Farsi) but it's more when they're all in a big group (and there's usually about 20 of them on holidays) it's just more natural and they forget. It's funny because they'll catch themselves and someone will bring the conversation to a screeching halt and they restart in English. When I'm there anyway. My uncle I probably think could honestly care less so it may just be that he's conditioned them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm still traumatized from the duster girl on Intervention. She's got to be one of the most fucked-up people ever on that show.

Where does SW even go that takes 9 hours?

East coast to west. Via Ohio and Nevada.
