Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Were they hot plans?

No, they were not.

Fifteen-year-old dials 911 after parents take away his XBox.

A 15-year-old boy told Buffalo Grove police that his parents had taken away his video game system and asked whether they were within their rights.

They were, police told him.

The teen called 911 about 12:50 p.m. Sunday but then hung up, said Cmdr. Steve Husak. Officers went to the house, and after hearing the story, told the youth that his parents have the authority to take away his Xbox as punishment.

He also was advised to listen to his parents, Husak said. Husak did not know why the boy was being punished.

I think my favorite part of my hair dye experience is that, as usual, I got dye on me. But today it was on my armpit! It's awesome.

Is it pink dye, at least?

The other day, I thought I had a crazy bruise on my thigh, until I realized it was the nail polish I had used to try to stop a run in my tights.

Nope. Black. I'm firmly back to a shade darker than my natural color (no one makes my natural color and I'm not experimental enough to mix and match to find it).

So, I need help finding a lemon meringue pie for 11/25. Sigh.

mac's uncle has offered to keep him the day after Thanksgiving and to just have him sleep over on Thursday night. Great in many ways, but no way I can actually do anything with that night and I have to work Friday. bah.

I can't decide if I should dye my hair again. It's a very nice brown right now. It's time to touch it up or do something. should I stay with the brown. Should I just throw some red highlights in? Should I go back to my natural black? I can't decide.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't even remember if my network SSID is being broadcast. I had a wave of paranoia when I switched over from WEP to WPA2. I'm not even sure what prompted it. But then you can certainly name your network anything you want, because people will have to come looking for you specifically to find you. Or be a cracker, but I don't think I could adequately protect myself against a determined intruder.

I am shocked that made the paper. Mac has called 911 no less than 4 times, but I have been able to get on the line all but once and let them know it is not an actual emergency.
