Mal: Which one you figure tracked us? Zoe: The ugly one, sir. Mal: Could you be more specific?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My iPod is Jesse's iPod, but no one sees that. I feel like my neighbors will judge my network.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Our wireless at home isn't named at all

Can you not have a name? I can see if you have the default name that came with the router, but your wireless devices need to know what they're connecting to somehow.

If they could come up with a way to fool my brain into turning OFF the damn noise in my ears

Oh, god, yes. I miss silence. I haven't had any in almost 20 years. Not even close.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Electronics on my home network (computers + Tivo) are all Jossverse vampires. [eta: Wait, I take that back. I ran out of good vampire names when I bought my current laptop, so it's Lady Nocturne, which started the Tek Jansen series of names.] External drives are either Tek Jansen or BSG characters (except for Miss Edith, the first external hard drive I ever bought for Dru the G5). iPods are all spaceship computers (Hal, Dora, and Holly).

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I renamed my Tivo to NotTino.

I think the most interesting part of the itch article is the implication that sensory perception is a brain ish and NOT necessarily the signals transmitting to the brain.

I dunno I think scratching through to your brain is amazing and icky and just a great way to start this article.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I feel like my neighbors will judge my network.

I promise I only judge the networks named "Linksys" or "default". If you named it "Digital Underground" I would think you were utterly awesome based on your network name.

Hahaha. Amych is me.

That is my goal! My neighbors are either boring or mean ("NoViosForYou!").

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I feel like my neighbors will judge my network.

So naming it "biteme" is right out?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In case of local network failure I did always try to connect to "Linksys" and "default" first--I figured those are less likely to be password protected. Nowadays fancy software tells you you're locked out ahead of time, no point trying. And last time I looked everyone in my building had everything locked down. Which is good, I suppose, except when I *need* to freeload.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I renamed my Tivo to NotTino.

Speaking of Tivo and Tino, my DVR refused to record V last night, for apparently no reason! It was set right, it recorded SYTYCD, but no V - and I didn't find out until 10 min. from the end.
