I renamed my Tivo to NotTino.
I think the most interesting part of the itch article is the implication that sensory perception is a brain ish and NOT necessarily the signals transmitting to the brain.
I dunno I think scratching through
to your brain
is amazing and icky and just a great way to start this article.
I feel like my neighbors will judge my network.
I promise I only judge the networks named "Linksys" or "default". If you named it "Digital Underground" I would think you were utterly awesome based on your network name.

That is my goal! My neighbors are either boring or mean ("NoViosForYou!").

So naming it "biteme" is right out?
In case of local network failure I did always try to connect to "Linksys" and "default" first--I figured those are less likely to be password protected. Nowadays fancy software tells you you're locked out ahead of time, no point trying. And last time I looked everyone in my building had everything locked down. Which is good, I suppose, except when I *need* to freeload.

Speaking of Tivo and Tino, my DVR refused to record V last night, for apparently no reason! It was set right, it recorded SYTYCD, but no V - and I didn't find out until 10 min. from the end.

Or if they are, the passwords tend to be "password" (or "p@55word" etc).
External drives are either Tek Jansen or BSG characters (except for Miss Edith, the first external hard drive I ever bought for Dru the G5).
My iPod is Miss Edith, both for Dru's doll and for the Lonely Doll books.

Totally! At my old apartment, one of the networks was "pimpsdomain." Unfortunately it was secured, because I always wanted to be in pimpsdomain.
