I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

So, co-worker that asked for a copy of my survey, and couldn't wait for me to put it in her box, or didn't realize I had? Went in and copied it for herself when J gave her access to the software for a different survey!

Unfortunately, she didn't actually copy the other survey and rewrote it while it was active, screwing up someone else's survey and data.

And, of course, she can't really come check with me to see if she screwed up mine (she didn't), because she NEVER TOLD ME SHE WAS GOING TO COPY IT.

I was pissed on Friday, but now I must admit I am enjoying this immensely (except for my other friend having to redo her stuff, obviously).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think you should eat things you like the taste of. Surely there are things you like that also have vitamins.

Indeed. Speaking of which, I have a pomegranate to eat!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From the Everything is Terrible blog....

The Christian Robot!

I found it too painful to get through the whole thing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am going out for fast food for lunch today, but my choice is not on the flow chart. I think I'll have Chipotle.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Chop 'em up, put them on a leafy-green salad, dress it with oil & vinegar & pepper. Mega-vitamins, and the savory brings out the best the persimmons have to offer.

Ooh. We get fresh fruit every Tuesday, and this week they were touting the persimmon, so I had a persimmon with my pear. It's an odd sort of thing. They don't really taste bad, but they don't have a lot of taste to them. And they have a weird aftertaste.

I think you should eat things you like the taste of. Surely there are things you like that also have vitamins.

I had a pear! Are pears good? They always have pears.

Our wings are not tired.

Pears are very good. Especially with oatmeal, butter, sugar and cinnamon, baked in an oven for half an hour, AND, megan walker edit, covered in ice cream!!

(Unless you're beth's husband, then you just stick to the vanilla bean ice cream!)

Aren't persimmons also like pears in that they have to be perfectly ripe or they are nast?

ETA: Java, you forgot the ice cream part. Ice cream is key.

I love bottled pears. I can never get fresh pears at precisely the right ripeness, but the bottled (not tinned) sort in white grape juice is just delish.

God, I'm too hungry for lunch. Breakfast no longer gets me till noon. This is annoying.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Slightly underripe pears are awesome shaved onto a salad with some parmesan cheese curls.

See, I have been thinking there has to be a pear pie, but no one will believe me.

They have all sorts of pears. Some are tangy, some are sweet, some are hard, some are soft. I can't keep track of which ones I like the most. All I know is that the Harry and David pear I had a couple years ago was heavenly.
