Sparky, what a relief!
On a completely unrelated note, is there anywhere to watch old Simpsons episodes online? I have a craving to rewatch the Prisoner ep, but I don't have that season on DVD.
[eta: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand simpsonsepisodes.com just crashed my browser. Boo hiss.]
The name of the cookies makes them sound yummy, but the apple cider drink mix scares me on principle. It makes my brain repeat: WHY? WHY? WHY?
Me, too! And phew for your dog.
Apple cider drink mix is great for when you want a hot drink that's not tea. I used to pack them for plane trips, before I strayed over into the world of uncaffeinated teas. I can imagine they'd be the best way to inject cider taste into cookies without adding volume too.
I'm so glad the news is good about your dog, Sparky!
This is my first post-school morning, in, like, forever. As in, I'm completely finished with classes, final project turned in, and so on. Feeling quite a little bit empty, you know?

I can see that they would be good for travel, but otherwise I'd prefer to just heat up a cut of cider from a bottle. I wonder if you could just substitute spices in that recipe.

Yeah, I was thinking you could probably boil it down so it wouldn't be so liquidy and use that. Or frozen concentrate maybe.
Save me. Someone on the local parents' listserv is shilling a locally made herbal cold/flu remedy as being a miracle cure and as being better for you than a flu shot. I am trying to find a nice way to say, "are you fucking stupid? You'll dose your kids with something with ingredients you don't know every two hours because you read an ad and you won't let them have shot because that hasn't been tested enough for you?"

Ask if it's FDA approved. [eta: And if it is, obviously the next step is to accuse them of being in the pocket of Big Pharma.]
But it's naaaaatural! You know, like arsenic and botulism. And cancer.
It's not FDA approved, I can see that from the website. I thought the listserv was finally past the yearly vaccine blow-up. I really can't unsubscribe because my nanny share has an ad out for another child, unfortunately.
