I had plans to see Mary Karr speak tonight
Oh, she's fantastic. I saw her and Frank McCourt together once upon a time at the 92nd St. Y and they were hilarious as they compared childhoods.
Congratulations, java!
News from the vet is that the dog is much better, and has finally eaten something that stayed down. I saw her briefly last night when I dropped off her seizure medicine, and she was about as energetic as a dishrag. She should be able to come home this afternoon.
Glad Sass is doing better... poor noodle.
These caramel stuffed apple cider cookies must be made soon. They look amazing.
Oh, Kat, how can you be so EEEEVIL?
IOW, I need to make those cookies, too.
The name of the cookies makes them sound yummy, but the apple cider drink mix scares me on principle. It makes my brain repeat: WHY? WHY? WHY?
Sparky, I'm so glad your dog is feeling better and will recover. My family had a lab that was fed rat poison when I was very wee and died. We suspect it was done by our neighbor who used to complain about him barking, but it was never confirmed. There's a special hell for those kinds of people.
Sparky, what a relief!
On a completely unrelated note, is there anywhere to watch old Simpsons episodes online? I have a craving to rewatch the Prisoner ep, but I don't have that season on DVD.
[eta: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand simpsonsepisodes.com just crashed my browser. Boo hiss.]

Me, too! And phew for your dog.
Apple cider drink mix is great for when you want a hot drink that's not tea. I used to pack them for plane trips, before I strayed over into the world of uncaffeinated teas. I can imagine they'd be the best way to inject cider taste into cookies without adding volume too.
