Inara: I think she looks adorable. Mal: Yeah, but I never said it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks.

JILLI ALERT--spider talk (very mild) ahead: We finally figured out the mystery spider that's been hanging out in the back yard. It's a jumping spider. link

I have to say, its coloring is quite striking.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh wow, that's really cool looking.

I know! Up until a few weeks ago, I had never seen anything like it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Happy birthday, sumi!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So. If you could develop a video game of the type where you're immersed in a 3-D environment (like a first-person-shooter, or FPS), what would you develop?

I ask because I downloaded this:

UDK is Unreal Engine 3 – the complete professional development framework. All the tools you need to create great games, advanced visualizations and detailed 3D simulations. The best tools in the industry are in your hands.

And I'm looking for ideas.

One idea is to create the interior of Serenity, so you could move from room to room. Of course that would be a shitload of work. Another idea is a game set in an office, where one of your goals is to avoid Tino.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Buffista lawyers and legal researchers. My Mom remembers her father filing a precedenting Veterans Benefits case in Los Angeles (Federal courts) between 1924 and 1926. Father's name was Cary Meyerson. She'd like to look up the case to figure out if it was really precedent setting or whether that part is just family legend. Am I looking for Meyerson VS. U.S. ? How would I find it, especially how would I find it if it was NOT a significant precedent, if was just routine? For that matter, once I find it, how do I tell if it was an important precedent?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I gave the cranberry sauce a try, but next time I think I'll just save that as a side and put some mustard on the sandwich. I have a very limited range of tolerance for combining sweet and savory flavors in the same mouthful, and those ingredients don't seem to fall within it.
