I'm still re-watching S3 of Buffy, and I remain committed to my position that the Mayor was the best villain of the 7 seasons.

the Mayor was the best villain of the 7 seasons.
It's his opposition to swearing, isn't it?
Oh, der. I was totally doing that in my head, but forgot about the process-of-elimination part at the end. (I.e., if you know it's one of three, you just have to weigh two of them to tell which is heavier.)
It is a rainy day here, and I need to really deal with the leftover crap in my apartment. The stupid issue I have is, I figure my Christmas stuff will live in the basement storage most of the time, but I'm not going to put it down there if I'm just pulling it back out in a couple of weeks.
Not only is the Mayor the best villain, his relationship with Faith rivals the relationship of Spike/Dru for most interesting combo on the dark side.
Not only is the Mayor the best villain, his relationship with Faith
It's his relationship with Faith that, for me, makes him the best villain. By "best villain" I don't necessarily mean "biggest badass" or "killed the most people." Biggest badass is probably Angelus (plus there was the satisfyingly painful emotional arc). *Maybe* Glory.
But the Mayor is dangerous and calculating and evil, and still has that relationship with Faith, which is real and warm and totally not evil. And that just somehow makes him the best for me.
Plus the opposition to swearing.

That's one of the reasons I love Spike. He's a total bad-ass, except his flaw is he's too human. It's his ability to love that's sorta' a reverse tragic-flaw....
Overnight I seem to have traded my migraine for the ability to breath through my nose. Joy.
Suzi, in my opinion, that's trading up. It's always been easier for me to unstuff my nose than to vanquish a migraine.
True, Teppy, true. I want to go to karate today, I have 2 hours of class, but if I can't use my nose, it is going to be difficult. Yes, it would have been impossible with the migraine.
CJ and I are meeting up with Nicole and her DH to see Wicked tonight! I'm very excited.
Since I solved it, I've been thinking about my unconscious assumptions that initially prevented me from figuring it out. (Which is interesting to think about.)
Dammit, I couldn't get past the assumption that the first step would be to weigh four on each side.
