I actually think Greenwitch is the weakest and/or least interesting book in the series.
Are you including Over Sea, Under Stone as part of the series? Because that one was hard for me to get through. (It didn't help that the library copy smelled like somebody had spilled apple juice on it... It was much easier to read once I bought a copy instead.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
I read Dianetics because I was hard up for reading that summer staying with them. I also read the Sweet Valley High series over the same period. I liked it better and consider it more applicable to my life.
Just had lunch at a Mexican restaurant that makes its own tortillas. Damn, you can taste the difference.

I read most of Dianetics, but the "If you don't understand this it's because you're not smart enough to be in our cult" language just irritated the shit out of me and I wound up skimming a lot.
I made it about halfway through Battlefield Earth, which is how I know that the movie is one of the most faithful adaptations of all time, but that should not be construed as a recommendation for either one.

I got all the way through Battlefield Earth on bloodymindedness and and my pathological need to find out how a plot is resolved.
Couldn't make myself watch the movie, though.

That's why I don't use mine when I'm really stuffed up, fear of adding to the problem. And when my sinuses are fine and clear, I don't think to use it. Every once in a while the stars align just right and I feel like it could help.

Yeah. If you look at Gothic Charm School carefully you'll note Jilli doesn't even include that one on the list. My mom also tends to omit it when talking about the series, but I knew it was first and it was one of those things where I had to read them in order. Because that's the kind of person I am.
