So, I woke up wondering how many black players there are in the NHL. 14 forwards (I'm not including affiliates) Four defensemen. 2 Goalies (though one hasn't played yet this season). Only two teams have more than one black player (NJ Devils and Nashville Predators).
This comes up because Wayne Simmonds plays for LA Kings and I always call him the loneliest man in the NHL. K disagrees.
This led me to look up how many Asian players there are in the NHL, which is an even smaller number -- there are 4 on non-affiliate teams. So I guess I should zip it about Simmonds being the loneliest man in the NHL and say it about Paul Kariya instead.

Those are awesome pictures of mac. I met him this fall and he was really bright and engaging. He's a great kid. And msbelle is great around him.
Now we need to know how many minority curlers there are....
I'd be happy to, Perkins, if it isn't too late.
Not at all, especially since one of my sources just dried up.
I'm emailing it to your profile address right now.
Thanks!

HA! Take it back! I'm totally NOT. I'm more like, "huh, that's weird!"
But the show has so many callbacks that if you don't watch from the beginning, half the jokes are lost on you.
So true. AD is up there with The Shield in terms of tight continuity.
Of course on the morning I'm running late, I come in to discover I've got to run the morning meeting, with no warning whatsoever. yarg.
I have the flip side of that, sarameg. I came in early to prepare for a meeting today, only to find that it has been canceled. I could have worked from home today and now I'm all dressed and out in the world and stuff. No fair.
Nah. Not so much. Really. Hockey still makes me @@ eyes. And I have been to more games this year than ever (which would be two). The last time we were at a game I was just interested in how WHITE hockey is.
