Trader Joes has some amazing Grade B syrup that comes in a wine shaped bottle for a pretty reasonable price.

Kat, I think that's called maple taffy here.
I love butter, but I can psychosomatically feel my arteries hardening when I eat it, so I use both. Even though my nutritionist friend says margerine is full of the evil transfats.
We keep butter out. It never lasts long enough to go rancid. I've considered a butter keeper. We buy our butter in bulk from the dairy.
We also get unhomogenized milk and I'm shocked at how much longer it keeps and how much better it tastes. The cream that is on the top of the glass bottle is also the best thing EVER.
Yes, margarine is way worse for you than butter.
We keep butter out.
We do, too, actually, except in the summer. But I've always thought the butter bells looked cool, and I looked into them for my mom, who freaks if the butter or the milk is out for more than two minutes.
My parents not only refuse to eat the butter I leave out, they refrigerate it. So very annoying. I only leave out a little at a time and finish it quickly.
Graham Norton can interview just about anyone and make it fun. I don't care whether I've heard of his guests or not. Unlike Jonathan Ross. But Ross gets Denzel and Walken.
Still, next week Norton gets David Tennant. That will be fun for sure.
Even though my nutritionist friend says margerine is full of the evil transfats.
There are some that don't have trans fats. I don't know what mystical mojo is worked upon Smart Balance to make it have no trans fats, but it claims to have none. That's my default margarine.
Syrup in my world is either maple or golden.
Grew up with Roger's Golden as our staple syrup. Whee.
My usual margarine is Earth Balance.
My dad was a firm believer in always having a gallon of maple syrup in the freezer and made sure we were properly stocked at the end of each summer. I do miss that.
