I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Man, I kind of want six different things on ThinkGeek.com now. I need to decorate my office, except for how I probably will have to move and share with someone at some point.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I have one of those!

Also the office monkey set, which is awesome.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm trying to research programmable thermostats, because my dad wants to get us something for Christmas that we can unwrap (you can wrap a gift card to Home Despot, really). Dad's idea was a GPS system, but we SO don't need or want one.

However, a programmable thermostat would be (1) energy-saving (and therefore money-saving), and (2) really cool to play with.

If I leave it up to The Boy, he'll do research forEVER. (Last night he was perusing HVAC Web forums, dear god.) And Dad has been hectoring me for 3 weeks to tell him what model we want. So now I'm wandering the Internets hopelessly trying to figure out which one might be good. I know nothing of programmable thermostats.

I swear I'm going to go with the highest-rated one at Home Depot's Web site that's $100 or under, make sure it's compatible with the house's heating system, and call it a night.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Does anyone actually use a digital photo frame? I was given one a couple of years ago and it's still in the box.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My ex-boyfriend Mike put an EvilTron in his friend's bathroom during a Halloween party. Drove him and his wife nuts. The poor guy could not find it. Of course he knew Mike did it, because who else? He had to call Mike, who told him the thing was behind the baseboard, behind the toilet. Guy said, "How did you even do that?" Mike replied, "I brought tools."

And that, in a nutshell, is why I almost married Mike.
