Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I'm still in the loop this week. Any Chicago types want to meet for dinner? Shrift, brenda, anyone else? I'm usually free by 5:30.

I could do Singha (or someplace else) tonight or tomorrow! I'm heading to Michigan on Friday directly after work.

Because books.

I adore Taco Bell, and not even shamefully. But then I've never had any of the other places you all are talking about, so Taco Bell is pretty much it for me in terms of fast "Mexican" food.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I would F Taco Bell, but I'd be afraid of getting diseases. I've eaten at Qdoba a few times and liked it, but I am more familiar with Taco Bell, so maybe I should just protect myself. Then again, let's just F Qdoba, C Taco Bell, M Chipotle.

The only one of those I've ever had is Chipotle

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Taco Bell is excellent hangover food.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The only one of those I've ever had is Chipotle

I can't imagine a life in which I've never had Taco Bell, but I'd like to. It's just not right. Or Mexican.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Qdoba has a very acceptable TexMex tortilla soup* (the kind that's tomato-based), so I'm marrying it right now.

* that does not need any dairy ingredients or yucky beans added to it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Chipotle doesn't really stand a chance with me, there are actual taquerias that are so much more convenient for me to get to.

Eta: never had Qdoba, either, and the nearest on is 30 miles away, apparently, so I'm not likely to

My fave is La Salsa. Sonora style fish taco basket FTW!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Went to Chipotle, got a salad.

A salad???? What's the point?

I came across this book yesterday that was all about choosing healthier options at fast-food and casual-dining restaurants rather than actually, you know, dieting. It was kind of interesting, really, and it pointed out how some of the "healthy" options actually have more calories and fat than regular options. Anyway, apparently a Chipotle burrito has a million calories, and the salad has less.

Chipotle doesn't really stand a chance with me, there are actual taquerias that are so much more convenient for me to get to.

I love actual taquerias, but I also love Chipotle. I'm an equal-opportunity burrito lover. I also miss Freebirds.
