Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I have not seen IM3 yet, but I am finally getting around to watching Snow White and the Huntsman. Or part of it. I may see the rest tomorrow, as it's quite late. HMOG Kristin Stewart is just the worst actor ever. She has no kind of talent or skill at acting. Why on earth does she have a career?
Okay, so I'm unhappy about being locked in a tower. Now I'm creeped out by a creepy guy, but I attack him, 'cuz he's bad. Now I'm gagging because I'm escaping through a sewer. HEY! Wasn't that the plot of Shawshank Redemption? Now I'm scared and working myself up to jump off a tall cliff. Now I'm running through the forest and hiding. Now I'm tripping on trippy swamp spores and seeing scary stuff.
Now I want to hear that read by Vanessa Bayer while she's wearing the Snow White outfit.
That movie had such gorgeous production design I was willing to overlook K-Stew's immovable face. Still, I can't help but think that with a better actress in the lead role, the script could have lost at least half of the "She lights up the room! She's so lovely! She breathes life into everything she touches!" exclamations by the other actors.
In Snow White and the Huntsman, I thought that Chris Hemsworth had a STRONG Heath Ledger vibe. It was slightly creepy.
Re: Iron Man 3, I'm not really seized with the overwhelming need to see it again (which is good, since my next 2 [at least] weekends are taken up with Gatsby and then Stark Trek). But then nothing between Star Trek and Much Ado at the beginning of June. So I'll probably see Iron Man again, just not right away.
Stark Trek
I LOVE THIS TYPO.
DH wasn't allowed to bring guests to the IM3 screening (it was in the morning anyway) so I don't know when I'll get a chance to see it. Maybe I'll ping my sisters tomorrow night and see if we want to have a girls night out with RDJ.
Stark Trek
I LOVE THIS TYPO.
Ahahahahahaha!!! Hello, my brain. I kind of want this mash-up, now.
Actually, I was joking with P-C on FB yesterday that the only parts of Iron Man 3 I was spoiled for was the Joker being in it, and The Flash being Iron Man's sidekick, and of course the part with Sailor Moon.
...and then I suddenly wanted to see that movie.
Damn you, Teppy. So far nothing about the Avengers world has made the ficspaces in my head twitch, but your typo made the plot bunny ears perk up.
And I'm being very good about avoiding *most* spoilers.

I just couldn't suspend disbelief enough to imagine Charlize Theron being intimidated by Kristen Stewart's beauty.
If only Kristen would close her damn mouth! When she's not talking, that is.
