At least she had a sense of humor about it - when she played herself on It's Like, You Know... people not recognizing her post-nose job was a recurring joke.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I think the first time around that I'd realized JG had a nose job, I was horrified. But now that it's new again, I like it. She look pinched, before.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, yeah. JG is my textbook "You think something so small..." Not in any way an improvement to her face in my appreciation. She looks like nobody/everybody now.

Plastic surgery I approve of? Sandra Bullock's eyes, Scarlett Johansson's nose (although I'm generally not a fan of her looks), Patrick Dempsey's supposed to have had work done, Kyra Sedgwick doesn't look bad, Jaclyn Smith seems to know the value of restraint, and there are probably many many dozens of boob jobs where all I know is that I like the breastesses.

Denis Leary? Not good plastic surgery.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Benjamin Bratt's nose was a DEFINITE improvement. I could hardly believe it when I saw his old nose.

Yeah, there's tons of good plastic surgery out there, and lots of high profile people who can afford it. I'm always stunned by how many still cock it up, but assume that many people I think are lovely have a nip and a tuck I know shit about.

Stana Katic has like half the nose she had back when she guested on ER.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So this is just a warning to anyone planning to see Oblivion this weekend - if you care at all about people other than the white male lead having anything at all to do, this movie will annoy you. There are only about 5 speaking roles in the entire movie, and they are all eyeroll-inducing stereotypes.

On the plus side, it's gorgeous and somewhere in there a much better movie is hiding. So I didn't hate it, but I wanted very much to reach through the screen and rearrange things.

Every time I saw a commercial for Oblivion, I just muttered, "Time for Iron Man, DAMN IT." But I am a skewed demographic.

Also, I saw a trailer for Gatsby last night, and holy crow, it looks so stunning visually. Which I expected from Baz Luhrmann, but still, actually seeing proof was gratifying. t edit And I think Tobey Maguire is brilliant casting for Nick.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The visuals for Gatsby annoyed the hell out of me; I'm not sure why.
