Art Crawl!!!

Christian Kane is going to be playing Mark Allen - co-owner of Mine that Bird in a movie about the Kentucky Derby winner.

Skeet Ulrich will be playing his trainer Chip Woolley.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Went to Olympus Has Fallen last night and it pretty much SUCKED.

Oh, really? The review in the SF Chronicle was pretty good. Huh.

Javi's review:

"olympus has fallen" is like a slasher flick where the camp is the white house, the teens are terrorists and gerard butler is jason voorhees

All 6 Star Wars.

All six movies played at the same time. Just the beginning with all the theme songs on top of each other with some slightly out of sync is hilarious.

move out and draw fire

We watched The Hobbit last night. Mal had a map of Middle-Earth spread out on his lap for most of it, except when he needed to hide from trolls. He thought the wargs looked like dinosaurs, which made me think megafauna, and a little Google later it appears that the wargs are a mix of megafauna, while Thranduil's war moose is an Irish elk (which is apparently neither Irish nor an elk).

This time I was even more blown away by Martin Freeman's performance.

Why was Benedict Cumberbatch credited?

And the Necromancer.

This one! I knew he was the voice of Smaug, but Smaug doesn't really say anything in this movie.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Smaug doesn't really say anything in this movie.

Neither does the Necromancer! Either he's being credited for the trilogy, or he did 3 seconds of mocap for that shadow in the doorway.
