ION, humph. I have committed eBay, but one of my items didn't sell and the other went for less than I'd hoped--though, still, it's probably four times what Half Price Books would have given me and none of the other local stores even wanted it at all, so there's that. Now I'm itching to run home and go over the local bookstore's other rejects, and ponder my options.
Now I just have to get the word out subtly to my co-workers. Maybe an email.
Nora, I might send out something like "Hey guys, due to a lot of different factors, I will not be graduating as planned. Unfortunately, it's a done deal, and I would rather not discuss it, even though I know that you guys would be supportive. So, thanks in advance for your support and discretion and I'll let you know when the party is later :)"
I would also mention that you WILL be graduating, but in October.

You could also say something like this, Nora:
"My graduation has been postponed until the fall. I'm looking forward to celebrating with you then."
I'm glad they've been good about talking with you and realizing your performance was such an aberration from the good work you've been doing.

I am sick of the choice of plus sized clothing that I can afford around me. What websites do people who buy plus sized clothing recommend? I need stuff that would work in a casual office setting (ie, Torrid won't work).
I was wrong to doubt TCG's ability to go to the market and come home with the three items I sent him to get, and he didn't even have to call me to check to see if they were the right items.
I managed to rally enough tonight to make a nice vegetable curry for dinner too. Yum!

Connie, J. Jill goes up to 28W/4x, and a number of their things are office-friendly. I wear stuff from their Wearever collection paired with different colored t-shirts all the time. (The wearever stuff is in an artificial fabric, but it has a very nice feel, doesn't wrinkle, and wears quite well.)
