Oh, definitely. I'd never seen the phrase before. I thought it was funny.
'Trash'
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
(Then from the Vulcan Salute, conversation drifted to Second Temple Judaism, but in an actual conversational and interesting way, not a weird personal questions way.)
I am trying to imagine this, and not quite making it
The drift from Vulcan Salute to Second Temple Judaism? The hand symbol for the Vulcan Salute is the gesture for the Priestly Blessing. Nimoy apparently thought it looked cool.

The name ebb and flow is a mysterious thing. I'd say the majority of the people I know who named their children names in the top 20 swore they thought the names they chose were not particularly common. I'm named for my mother, who was born in the only 10-year period when Virginia was in the top 10. She was, however, named for her grandmother.
Growing up, every class had more than one Michael, Robert and William. Unsurprisingly, I see they were in the top 10 in that era.
irreversible cardiac arrest
Otherwise known as death.
When I was working at my dad's office one summer, I came across a medical report that said something like, "Patient suffered cardiac arrest and sudden death. This was particularly serious considering patient's prior history of sudden death."
so she had to get a GED.
A friend of ours stopped going to high school so she could get started on several masters degrees in advanced mathematics. She finally got her GED the day before her doctoral defense. She has the two hanging next to each other and smiles when people realizes the dates are so close.
Edit: she also had to get a special dispensation to be on her own doctoral defense committee, because they needed three qualified people, and the last qualified person who understood what she was working on was in Soviet Russia and the subject was potentially classified.
Hey Tep! I'm watching the Blue Beetle episode of Brave and Bold right now.

Sorry. I got sucked into Shatner as a result.
(It is hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that Shatner and Nimoy are the same age. Also, that Shatner is OLDER than Leonard Cohen. I do find myself wondering if they were ever in the same circles in 1950s Montreal, though. I mean, he's only 2 years older than COHEN.
