I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Good morning.

Yay Aimee's grades! Yay Kristin's dad! Awesome news.

I had my last class and exam last night. So I should be done with classes now. (However, when I expressed hope I didn't fail last night's exam to a co-worker who doesn't know the whole Comps saga, she said, "all you need to do is pass!" I thought, while walking away, "yeah, easier said than done, it seems.")

I am just wiped out, and the whole failing thing really put a huge damper on what should be a celebratory occasion. I am also over talking about Teh Failure, therefore I don't want to talk to anyone outside family and a few close friends (and you guys).

Anyway, whine, whine, whine, whine! It's also super gray and misty out - excellent weather to feed Teh Ennui.

Trust my rage

GC, your poor friends. I can't imagine losing everything, especially little baby stuff.

ION, I am freezing. Which is odd because while I am in a building with AC, I'm wearing pants, socks, a long sleeve shirt, a vest, and a sweater.

GC, that is absolutely awful. How devastating.

Nora, I'm still just so sorry. I hope it all gets worked out, but know that it's just not going to hold the same punch. Bad college! No cookie!

Anyway, whine, whine, whine, whine! It's also super gray and misty out - excellent weather to feed Teh Ennui.

So true! I was just coming in to whine as well, and was going to comment that the weather wasn't helping.

I've had three really good days in a row, so I suppose it was time for a bad one. I think the CPAP has really been helping my asthma, but the combo of the allergies getting worse and last night's rain has killed me. My asthma is terrible, and the all-night coughing spree kicked up my fibro flare-up into full gear. So, not only can't I breathe, but I'm in horrible pain too. Grrr. But at least I found my glasses (spent an hour looking for them before I remembered I had some old glasses in the bathroom that might help with the process).

I'm actually thinking about calling into work, but I suspect there is play practice tonight (in our space), and it's raining, so we won't be able to go outside. That combo is just cruel to throw on a sub. So, I must pull it together! No sack-of-potatoes today, kiddos (my preschooler's favorite game...I throw them over my hip and sell them as a sack of potatoes).

Since Hil's advisor is a jerk, he probably thinks it's a way to toughen her up.

True, he's the guy that taught someone to swim by pushing them into the water. However, he does have a valid point, students need to be able to talk about their research in both a casual and professional setting.

Hil, we know that you can rock out a presentation, now you just have to figure out a way to translate this into a casual conversation. Now, I know I'm an extreme extrovert, but I recognize it's not as easy for other people. I'm available if you want to practice! I'll even read up so I can ask questions :) (and by reading up, I mean try to have a chance in hell of understanding higher math)

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday GC!

Kristin, I'm so happy about your dad. You guys are well overdue for good news.
