"Whatever. None of that will happen to you because we're awesome".
Ha! I love that! I want your dentist. But I think it's a little far to travel.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mammo-ma, Jilli. sorry. But look at that dazzling smile!
And yay for good, healthy eyes with no diabetic effects.
Also yay for Kristin's dad. And for easier movement for sj.
It's a great day at sea, sir!

Oh, you totally want my dentist. He's got the set-up that lets you watch DVDs on a screen that they can move around. Plus he's snarky and funny. But yeah, probably a bit too far to travel for you.
Beverly!
(Yeah, that's all.)
And even if I make it to the F2F, I think "dentist appointment" really shouldn't be on the list of activities. Plus which, out of network prices and all.
Speaking as someone who has learned a bit about dentistry as an industry recently, if your dentist is a good dentist and knows what s/he is doing then teeth whitening should be fine.
What you don't want to do is go to a place offering teeth whitening where there is no dentist or hygienist on staff. I'm sure the Buffistas are aware of this, but really if you know someone who says they are thinking about getting their teeth whitened at the mall/Sam's/Costco/(and possibly day spa) tell the to stay away.
If the stuff they are hawking is "just like over the counter" it's cheaper to buy over the conter and if it's "just like the dentist office" then it needs to be in the dentist office. Not only is there very little training that goes on but they usually don't have ways to properly sanitize anything.
yay for good eyes, good grades, good dad health.
mammogram ma~~~~ for Jilli ( I will get an appointment set up next week)
and you people talked way to much about the dentist today
Yay for good grades and eyes and health reports!
I jumped out of the rice pasta convo to see clients, but if I had been here, I'd have said that my local health food store will stock pretty much whatever I ask for.
In the meanwhile, you might try thefind.com. It didn't identify my local store, but it did give me about 30 online options, including amazon.
I also like glutenfree.com for options, options, option.
Despite initially feeling daunted by the prospect of living without gluten (and, in my case, corn), I'm now pretty optimistic. I'm getting ideas everywhere...even the Daily Mail UK!
Great news Pix! The power of the ~ma comes thru!!!
Ion, work called while I was eating dinner, apparently my keyboard reprogram this morning had a bad side effect (fixed what they wanted, somehow unfixed something else). They call in a panic, with 2 minutes to curtain!! Why wasn't this checked earlier? Also, I am not a keyboard programmer, I can't fix this over the phone. Lastly, spending 30 sec describing every character on the screen does not help. When I say "towards the top, does it read..." I don't need you reading the very top line and ignoring the 2nd line that says what I asked for! Grrr. Stupidstagemanager. Grrr. t /rant
Sorry. The timing of mid dinner, and call me with no time to fix struck a nerve.
Good luck with the follow-up mammogram, Jilli. I had to have one after my first mammogram, too. It was all ultrasound, basically painless, and they figured out the oddness was just some harmless cysts. I hope yours goes just as well. (Well, I hope your parking experience goes more smoothly, but of all the things that could have been problematic that day, parking was probably the best one to go.)
