Oh, Jilli. Sometimes life does suck beyond the telling of it.
I choose to believe that this will end up as an amusing anecdote in your best-selling memoirs.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It would be really nice if that came true.
I'm just counting myself lucky that I have the upcoming 60 days of being an employee w/ benefits, and "only" the responsibility of finding a new job.
I just talked to my now-ex boss on the phone, who is very upset that they're letting me go. He also said that if I request any informational meetings about job openings, I should tell him so he can go stand in that person's doorway and tell them what an awesome editor I am, and that I would be a catch for any team. So that was nice.
Aw. That's nice.

That is pretty cool!

It is pretty cool. And I already have a lead on one position, thanks to the Big Big Boss of my (now-ex) org and Plei. (They both sent me the same job listing.)

Apply twice! If they hire you, you'll get twice the money!
Man, I am so not studying for this exam. I am mostly zoning out. Maybe I will stay home tomorrow too, and just go to class from home.

I am so sorry to hear what a crap day it is for you. Pamper yourself.
Aww, crap, Jilli. That sucks. Yay for having some notice, though. Eesh.
And Nora, that also sucks a whole lot. Double damn.
Jilli, Nora, I'm very sorry about your respective news.
In What-a-Relief news, I finally went in for an eye exam that I've been dreading, what with diabetes being a leading cause of blindness, et al.
Eye doc looked at my eyes and Hubby's eyes and said, "There's no retinal damage, no diabetic type damage, nothing at all. I wish I could tell all my diabetics this kind of news."
So, yay, Eyes of Neils continue to work to specs.
