I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

High heels with jeans. Mom says: trashy. I often like the look of heels with jeans but I hear my Mom's voice in my ear saying "trashy!" as they walk by.

Holy cow. I was having this very conversation last night! Personally, I only like a chunky heel with jeans. The classic pump with a tapered heel, and, god forbid, stilettos just do not look right with jeans. To me.

But it's not trashy to me; it's incongruous. But some people like incongruity, so YShoesMV. And some people like trashy, so YTMV.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I only like a chunky heel with jeans.

The heels that just walked by were both chunky and tapered. Just as my lizard-brain was saying, "yum!" That little Mom voice whispered, "trashy!"

Corollary, what's wrong with being a little trashy now and again for fun?

I think it's the word that's a trigger for me. And I'm sure my mom heard it from her mom. I certainly enjoy dressing provacatively. But if I look in the mirror and hear "trashy!" I'm gonna change.

brillig

While we were out shopping today, we stopped by Petsmart. The adoption room had two cages of kittens, and they were out playing while a minion cleaned out the cages. Kittens! Cavorting! Leaping at each other and missing!

Kittens are good for stress levels, especially when you don't have to clean out the litter box, worry about them forgetting their potty training, or worry about what thing they're going to chew on next.

They were kind of like these but all black and the jeans were form-fitting with a slightly flared leg and piping down the front.

“Not dead yet!”

Well, we're back from Free Comic Book Day as well as an excursion to the bookstore.

I really like outings of these kinds with my kids.

Thrive to spite them

I think heels with dark wash boot cut jeans and a more dressy or structured top looks really good.

In theory, I have no problem with those with jeans. In reality, I loathe wedges. LOATHE. So I don't like them with anything.

Well, we're back from Free Comic Book Day

What did they get? Did you get anything?

Yep. My own personal thing about jeans is I hate really super dressy evening heels with any jeans, but dressy heels with really faded jeans. It's just such a huge fashion disconnect for me.

I like there to be some consistency from top to bottom.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Things Mom was wrong about that still bug me to this day.

Wearing zebra-striped canvas shoes, with a red dress.

As in, she thought it was a good idea.
