'Touched'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

No. It means "I rock".

Ah, okay. I'm marking your post for future reference, because hey, these sorts of phrases are useful!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Happy birthday, baby boy Tea!

Here's your cake! Blow out your zero candles!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Shir, the outfit was very cute on you. Aside from that, I have no clue (please see earlier discussion on my lack of fashion knowledge).

Sorry, I'm in the camp that Guac is nasty stuff. Yup. I said it. More for y'all I suppose. Dig in. Enjoy!

This suit says sharp to me: [link] Maybe it's the slender cut?
Ya, with that top button, it'd be right at the top of my lil belly, and would look really stupid. Not skinny enough (or tall enough) for that fashion.

Omnis, I don't know from Texas but a boy and I got really good service at a Men's Warehouse in Illinois, ages ago. Maybe consider throwing yourself on the mercy of a (discount) professional.
Laga, that's what I was thinking. I was also thinking of hitting the Texan Store, maybe going a little Western Suit kind of thing. Not sure if that would be too cheesey. I have no clue what fashion I can pull off. I am not mr. charismatic here. But willing to try stuff. Also, since I hardly ever buy nice duds, I'm wanting something that is a bit more timeless than fashion!now!!

They obviously misspelled "Cocktail Chick". Look, all you gotta do is show up with a chick on your arm, and make sure she'll have a cocktail in her hand THE WHOLE TIME.
Ha, can you make it? Ya, 2 problems with that thought. 1) working the event, not attending. 2) horrible at the asking. No good, clammy hands, sweats, blubbering words, shy, blushing, bashful, no self-esteem when it comes to asking women out. But I love your train of thought and optimism!

I'll try 3 day suit this weekend. See what they have in a comfy casual suit, and maybe a nice western bolo tie that I already have.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm in the camp that Guac is nasty stuff.

see, this just means you've never had the right guacamole.

I was also thinking of hitting the Texan Store, maybe going a little Western Suit kind of thing.

ooh I think that could look really cute on you! Don't forget the Stetson.

Two different people today commented that my hair seemed curlier than usual (of course it is -- it's raining, and my hair got wet and then frizzed up), and one of them then reached out to touch a curl, without asking. This is someone I know, but not someone I'm friendly enough with to casually touch like that. Is this just weird, or rude?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I consider hair-touching something one does with implicit or explicit permission. Which means, most times, I ask.

Thing One: it's rude. Very rude.

Thing Two: Welcome to the club of random people touching you. It happens to me all the time. Dear Little Old Ladies, yes I know I look like a doll. That does not mean you have permission to reach out and play with my fluffy skirts.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

It was rude. I wasn't sure about how I would feel, but after thinking about it -- and there aren't a lot of people that casualy touch my hair.
