My mother is having fits because her house is having structural issues and she may have to vacate for up to four months. She seems to think she can still live in the freakin' house while they tear off the roof, reinforce it and build a new one.
Uh... NO. Even though the insurance is going to pay for a condo or house for her to rent, none of the suggested dwellings they sent her to check out are good enough. They're too far from her house or the neighborhood sucks or SOMETHING.

pray for patience for me. Mom wants to do an evite and she doesn't know how. She won't even try to do it on her own. If I tell her "it's pretty self explanatory, why don't you try it and let me know if you have a problem", she accuses me of not wanting to help her. Instead, she wants me to walk her through it. And of course, she won't call my brother who did phone support for a living because "he's so busy because he has a family"
My mom calls me to help her delete rows in Excel. Or copy and paste something in Word. She usually just ends up sending me the file so I can do it and send it back to her.
I am very lucky in that my mom is very easy person to get along with and fun to hang out with, but share a room? Nope. I pointed out that I have always been a light sleeper. I reminded her that when we visited my brother in Holland when he first moved there years ago, I made us go to Ikea so I could buy a mattress to sleep on in the storage room so I could be in a separate room.

ION, Rutherford, NJ, seems to be becoming a vegan destination. They've got a vegan cupcake shop, and a new pancake house just opened that, in addition to eggy options, also has scrambled tofu and vegan pancakes. I'm kinda scratching my head over this. Rutherford? It's just a fairly boring typical suburb.
Hil, is that northern NJ? My brother's family live in southern NJ and my niece is trying to eat vegan. I'd like to steer her to some good places to check out (she's in the Cherry Hill area).
