Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Punishingly Intricate

Thingy ~ma !!!

I wonder what I'd think today...

Probably that it is verrrry boring and that all the characters (so far, I've only managed the first hundred or so pages) are unlikeable.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Birthday, Drew!!!

vw, let me know if you need an alibi. I had some people around me talking about similar issues at Easter, and it talk all my restraint not to say, "Hello! Standing right here!"

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I skipped The Foutainhead and read the much shorter Anthem. Same philosophy in surly digest form.

Happy birthday, ND!

Yes that's what I did in junior high. I have no choice now. It's book club. It's the law!

Next month's pick is Our Band Could Be Your Life though. That should be fun.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Birthday to Drew!

Yes, This!!!

{{vw}} I just got back from visiting my brother who shares the lizard brain with yours. I have perfected the art of talking about the things we agree on. From time to time a remark may come out from either one of us, but we have reached a point of tolerance, for each other anyway. I just don't know what happened to him. We agreed on everything when we were kids. He even hitchhiked to DC to protest the war in 1969 when he was 14! He came back 3 days later with tear gas soaked clothes. Then 34 years later we were on a camping trip together the day the US invaded Iraq and he argued vigorously that there would be celebrating throughout the country and that the whole thing would take less than a week. He still believes they were involved in 9/11 and had weapons of mass destruction. I love him, but there are just things we can't talk about anymore.

Hi all! Was gone a couple days mixing business with family visit. Skipped to end.
