JZ, this is my go-to recipe for tomato soup.
[eta: I use a food mill to puree & separate the seeds in one step instead of using a blender and then a sieve.]
[eta2: And I leave out the sugar and usually add less than the full 1/2 cup of cream. It's a really flexible recipe.]

But I'd never heard about a dirty connation of "fishsticks" before. All I can find (on Urban Dictionary) is a stupid joke (that was then repeated on South Park) where "fishstick" = fish penis.
