The police arrested a man for crashing into and killing Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart:
The suspect has a prior DUI conviction and a suspended driver's license. What a fucking piece of garbage.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit, the young pitcher for the Angels, Nick Adenhart, who threw against the A's last night was killed in a hit and run accident after the game. Young kid, top prospect, his whole life in front of them. Mini-van ran a red light. So fucking stupid.
Damn, that's awful. It sounds like he had a promising career ahead of him.
Immediate email - "Hey, sorry we didn't get to finish our talk. You know, some people might choose to express their gratitude by buying me a cup of coffee ;) "Vortex, I totally need you here helping me like that. Why don't I think of those things. Just because the fishline breaks, there is still the net, right? But no, with the heart, I get all blushy and shy. Silly boy I am. I sent an e-mail. Of course, with load in happening, I won't have time for a date for a few weeks, but maybe we can schedule one between our crazy schedules!
Dear Volunteer - ...Empress, I will gladly trade your volunteer for my emo assistant. Although, he is far from cute. But he will work a LOT slower for you!
Just got a return e-mail. It started with:
Pfft made me laugh. A lot.(I said "sorry about cutting our conversation short. Silly boss calling me. Pfft.) See, and ya wonder why I'm smitten. She's goofy like me. Anyhow, she goes on to say that she is busy until June 3rd, so the fact she lists a date indicates not blowing me off. Also says, she hasn't seen her granddad since February. So, real busy. Looks like I'm going to try and schedule some time for June 3rd!
Mom finally went home, which is good because I shouldn't be allowed around people today. I tried to guilt her into going to that jewellery show with me, but no luck.
I hope that works out for you, omnis! She sounds smitworthy.
So I have a question: what is more important, a good work environment or advancing your career?
what is more important, a good work environment or advancing your career?
Yes.
A good work environment. Career advancement may not be happy if you hate going in to work--unless you then dump the work for better things.
I would say it depends. If a year or two in a bad work environment means that, for example, you get free training in a skill you want or it's stepping stone to a job in an environment you DO want, then it's worth it.
Yeah. If you have a better job to look forward to, a sucky work environment might be more tolerable... for a while, anyway.
