I'm going up to see my nephew on Friday! It's a quick trip but I'll get to see him and kiss him and play with him. He's really big now, in fact in the pictures (when you can't tell his age) he looks like he's about to sit up and walk. He's a looong muscular baby. He'll be 7 mths in a couple weeks.

He's having trouble sitting up, he prefers to slouch. But that hasn't stopped him from doing anything, he doesn't crawl he log rolls. And if something is at his feet, he can grasp it with his feet and pull it towards his hands.

The other news with my brother's family is that they were going to start a side business making camera straps -- colorful cooler ones than you can really get. So my brother took a sewing class and made my SIL a laptop bag. Then he made them Blackberry cases, and when Mom was up there she dropped her camera and cracked part of the screen, so he made her a camera case. And now he's working on a skirt for SIL. He's become quite crafty and he has the patience for sewing.

Mom has a quilt she was going to make for Evander but hasn't so she's thinking of giving it to my brother to make.

Suzi, normally I advise people to have a less sedentary life. In your case sitting put might be advisable.

So, do I want to get up early tomorrow morning to bless the sun? It's a Jewish holiday, happens once every 28 years, we watch the sun rise and say prayers. (My synagogue is having a special service on the roof of an apartment building.) Pros: cool ritual, next time I get a chance to do it won't be for another 28 years. Cons: it's cold, it'll be early, and I'm going to have to travel that day and then stay up late for Passover, which will leave me exhausted, which will make my mother worried.
