{{{Aims}}} All kinds of ~ma. I'm assuming they're doing a fine needle aspiration biopsy. If so, it feels a little funky and you do feel some pressure, but it doesn't really hurt. My doc even sprays your neck with a numbing agent, so you don't feel the needle prick at all. I didn't have any pain or even discomfort afterwards.
Do not, under any circumanstances, look at the needle. I am not needle squeamish (I had blood drawn today and watched the whole thing), but it's a long puppy.
If the nodules are cysts, they can drain them with the needle while they're in there. I highly recommend doing that. It can relieve pressure in your neck if they're big.
