'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Brenda, I do that ALL THE TIME! Why do we not learn?

ION, I was my own Food Fairy! Went to Noah's Bagels and got my everything bagel and iced coffee (plus side of fruit). Nom nom nom.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I am in fact, being Brenda RIGHT NOW

Is IFG?

I got to spend much of today messing around with video footage for a work event. The hours fly by when I'm doing that. Then I came back to my desk to see an email with my official Greece trip itinerary in it. Yay!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, seriously. I am brenda and meara and Glamcookie big time on this.

The office reorg was just the extension of this. It's been in bad shape for pretty much a year. And it took me two days to get it completely ordered. Two days!

I still have lots of the rough work of going through files and dealing with the papers I've turned up. But I have no doubt I'll be fully ready for the school year even with mini-vacation.

It drives me crazy that I do this with procrastination.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I have gone shopping for yummy, delicious Trader Joe's food. More surprising still? I did not buy a single item of meat.

Yes, Date Girl is vegetarian, why do you ask?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm trying to figure out if Rosemary Kennedy went to school. I can find on the internet the names of the boarding schools where all her siblings went, but the most that I can find about her education is that her father hired some tutors to help her learn how to read and write, but nothing about anything between about age 9 and age 20 or so.

I think I need to find a book about them, rather than trying to find out little details like this from the internet.

t edit: found it. Combination of tutors and special schools.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm having vegetarian lasagna right now (AIFG) but I'm going to Trader's Joes later for buffalo (although I'm sure they mean bison) burgers.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

TJ's is awesome for veggie options, isn't it?

And, yay! Stargazing and cooking together is good, good, good.

I have no new tag. I'm toying with the worst piece of bad writing in the bad novel excerpt Tom linked to in Natter this morning, "Diminutive and deferential, with a forehead of life-long suffering," but I may go in the opposite direction and browse through IMDB's page of Midnight Run quotes.

Wow it's been too long since I saw Midnight Run. All I remember is "you two are the worst bounty hunters ever!"

"I got two words for you: Shut the fuck up." It's a classic.

They didn't stick her in a home when she was a child, she went everywhere her family went. There was general knowledge, I believe, that the one daughter was a bit "slow" or "different".

The book that I just found says that her parents didn't tell anyone about her diagnosis, and when anyone asked why she wasn't participating in the conversations or games as much as her siblings were, her parents would just say that she was shy.
