I put about twice the usual amount of cat food into the treat toys
I should try this toy. I think my little Boo Bear (Casper) would love it. Yes, the Casper love affair continues - he's just the sweetest, cuddliest, most adorable little guy! Bianca and momo are not chopped liver (love them), but they are just not as cuddly and interactive as baby Boo. Is this true of female vs. male cats in general?
I think this is a faculty change we could all believe in:

I believe that in general, male cats are more outgoing and effusive. I know that Harvey is exponentially more snuggly than Samathea, or any other female I've had, to the point he often seems very demanding. But as far as interactive play goes, they both seem equally inclined to include us two-leggers in their games. As both a long-haired cat and one that had a very rough start to life therefore a bit of a spaz, Sammie does not like to snuggle. The thing is, Sammie IS affectionate and loves to play with us. Its more like, for her just being in the same room with someone says about the same for the level of trust and affection as Harvey expresses by jumping up onto your shoulders. Harvey often snuggles up with me while I sleep - lying on top of my legs, usually in some spot that makes it impossible to move or be comfortable. Sammie will sleep next to me - in summer, she sleeps on the chair next to the bed, in winter, she sleeps on the bed. She usually spends about three minutes kneading her claws and purring oh, so softly then moves away to her spot. It's very comfortable and companionable. Harvey wants to be held for hours at a time. Sammie won't stay still in my arms for more than 20 seconds except at the veterinary clinic. Harvey paws at my leg when he is hungry or wants me to play with him. Sammie sits in my line of sight and stands up on her hind legs, which if caught on video would cause many people to be utterly ded of teh cyute. I see Sammie as comfortably affectionate, and Harvey as overwhelmingly so. The differences you note in your cats may well be sex differences combined with personality differences, informed by life experiences.
Speaking of pets, apparently a bill has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives to allow tax deductions for veterinary expenses of pets: [link]
I've had a few accidents and I have a few scars, nothing major. Most of my ER visits were asthma attacks, they always happened around Christmas time. Later I found out that Christmas trees were the probable culprit.
Oh and I almost totally sliced the skin off my left ring finger while trying to cut root vegetables with a slightly dull knives. Dull knives are dangerous. It took a while but my finger prints finally grew back in. There's a callous there and it's weird to have this circle where I can feel temperature and pressure but not details of things.
Oh and annoying person at work is being annoying in ways that are effecting a lot of people.
And kitty update.
Maddie and Dean and Mom's cat Vein are all doing great together. Vein never played before. Ever. And now he's batting around toys and playing with the Kitty Crack Pad. My cats have no interest in the Kitty Crack Pad.
The only hitch is Dean wants to bat around Vein's tail and Vein doesn't care for it, but Dean's final learned to back off at the hissing.
I can has DVR! So far I've only set it to record Doctor Who (reruns) and Leverage. I got all excited when I saw JCTV. For a minute there I thought a late-night Chicago alternative music show had expanded to fill an entire cable channel. But no, that was JBTV. JC stands for Jesus Christ.
400 channels and I'm watching Cash Cab as usual.
