Mal: How drunk was I last night? Jayne: Well I dunno. I passed out.

'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Life, I love you. All is groovy.

Isn't that the actual line from the song?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

yes. One of three phrases that were translated back word-for word.

Please she is not treating me..

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I need more advice on dealing with my advisor. He keeps telling me that it seems like I'm not reading article, because he says I never come to him and say something like, "I was reading this article, and found this..." I can think of a whole bunch of times I've said that, and I read plenty of articles. He's going to be writing one of my letters of recommendation for getting a job, and I really don't want this to be yet another thing that he thinks I'm doing wrong. I mean, I cite articles in things I write (which he hardly ever reads), and there have been a bunch of times when, in a discussion of something, I've said things like, "I think I figured out a way to get around that problem, using something similar to what this author did in this article," or "I found this article, they way that they did this thing here seems like it might help us do this other thing."

What I do have trouble with is remembering who wrote what when I don't have the papers in front of me, so when he says something like, "Do you remember the way that Author X defined this?" I have to say no and ask for reminders about which paper it is that he's talking about, and he'll say something like, "It's the one that talks about Thing A," and I'll still have no idea, because I remember that paper as "The one that talks about Thing B," and Thing A has nothing at all to do with what we're discussing, anyway, and he'll think that I haven't read the paper. I can remember some of them, but there are like twenty different papers with similar titles on similar topics, all written by different combinations of the same five or so people, and I just can't keep them straight.

Hil, is there any way you can keep your sources on a laptop and bring it with to your meetings?

Your dog is the dog crying all the time. I may have to pull a rabbit friend.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I kind of want to pull a rabbit friend, but I'm kinda' scared what that originally meant....

Home, to dance all night until dawn in the morning and girls. So a little HOOHAIO, boatmen row, sailing down a river.

For a while, I had a folder with all the relevant-seeming papers that I'd bring with me whenever we met, but it was just getting too disorganized.

Apparently the moon was in the seventh house in November of '07.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Deep in my bed, I have maintained a commitment to a large dark forest, I was miles away.
