And boys -- let's watch the swearing.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Librarian Warlord

Your head knows she'll be fine, but your stomach can't be convinced.

Exactly. It's not going to be a productive day for me because I'm preoccupied with "I wonder if she's okay. Of course she's okay. But I wonder if she's really okay."

ION, the DH and I spent a good chunk of the weekend cleaning out the basement and setting up the playroom for the nanny and the toddler who shares the nanny. This meant that we got rid of a bunch of furniture that we were no longer using, only to have the nanny ask this morning if we had any extra furniture to give/sell away because her daughter is off to college. Arg! I still have a loveseat I can give her, but we would have happily sold her a little oak kitchen table I had for a token payment if I'd known.

eta:

K won't eat her on the first day

K eats like a wee piggy during the day because she sleeps through the night. Got to get all those calories in!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Heh. Ryan's got Daddy's number! He really is deadly cute, billytea

We found a leak on our family room ceiling and we're not sure where the water's coming from. Need to get a contractor in here asap to track it down. Feh.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I don't know whether I need to replace the battery or what. The Auto function on the windows (one push up and down) isn't working, which makes me think the battery's still very low. And I don't know if it will just die on me in the morning or when I try to go home from work or whatever. Man, I don't need this. Le sigh.

Do you have a warranty? If either your battery can't be brought back from a drain down, or your charging system can't bring it up to full charge, it might be worth checking.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ick! Insect white-font: There were several fruit flies trapped underneath the plastic wrap covering my homemade banana bread. Such a waste!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Belated Happy Birthday, Aimee!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, it ought to be under warranty. I checked the windows after twenty minutes and they still didn't do it, so I don't know what it means. Everything else seemed to be working fine.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Better day ~ma, Ginger.

I just made some Tiger Balm for a friend at work who just joined a gym and has reached the OMGTHISHURTS stage of increased work-outs. I had recommended it to her, but she could not find the non-staining formula, and while I was looking up online where she could find it, I came across a recipe for the stuff, which I just happened to have ingredients for. It's not as intense with the hot-cold sensation, but at least it smells better than Ben Gay.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tomorrow I go home to VA to visit my mother. Tell me why I thought working a full day then taking a red-eye was a good idea, again?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Like many positive people, Scrappy, you aspire to be productive. Like many real people, our paradoxical reality came and pulled your hair.

Our paradoxical reality is the universe's thug. Or possibly, have a thing for us. Some days it's hard to tell.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And this way you get to spend more time with Mom.
