Dude, we scored reservations at The French Laundry! For lunch the Friday we are in the Napa area. Can't believe it- I had a whole plan how to attack the issue, and while I was trying to work the phones this afternoon Tom went on line and scored the 1 lunch table for 2 available on Open Table. I had set my alarm for 3am EST this morning to try to score that table on OT, as I'd heard that they opened up at midnight PST the day 2 months before the date. I guess they opened it up at 10am PST instead, and Tom snagged it!
Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

sj, I hope TCG is feeling better. DH is also pretty bad at being sick, which I can understand.
We took the kids to the beach today. In spite of the overcast sky, it was lovely. It's a small, safe beach where the kids can frolic and I think it's one that I could take them to by myself. Which I hope to do this week, since the weather is supposed to be warm enough FINALLY.
