'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

I need fortitude. My pain in the ass SiL is coming over-- the family is visiting from Pensacola, so it's not like I can avoid her. Kind of a polar opposite to me in so may ways with the added fun of being a whackjob of the Not Fun variety.

I have to make nice because it pleases my MiL, whom I love, although she has such rose-colored hopes that everyone get along. She doesn't grok that it's okay to not get along with everyone.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I just had nice dreams of pleasant times at the waterpark
Clearly my brain is still in bed (i.e. gutter), as when I read that, I thought SH was talking watersports. No clue why.

I awoke from a dream of snogging Kate Hudson. And no matter how hard I tried to go back to sleep, she did not reappear. Stupid bladder. Bah.

Now I am waiting for the glass technician to come and replace my windshield. Wheee. State inspection is due, so I figured get it replaced now, before I fail inspection, or have to stick a sticker to a busted window. Hopefully this will not make me late for game night with strangers from the glowey-glass.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ's mom is coming to visit this weekend, a subject which has been much discussed with Matilda.

So we woke up this morning and were cuddling in bed, and I said...

Me: Hey, guess who's coming to visit today?
Matilda: Lily?!
Me: No, Nana is coming!
Matilda: And then Lily?

not your mom's socks.

Matilda has priorities.

we were headed to the zoo with I, who goes often with her grandma. A clue as to what they do there is in this conversation:

"And when we get to the zoo we can do lots of stuff!"

"yes?"

"Yes! We can get ice cream! and pretzels! and cookies!"

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I don't see the need in a Queen of Hearts costume for children. They know what's right for them, and they want it NOW. In case of system failure, it's all "off with their heads!".

I cannot get how this counts as childish; to me, it's an important feature in a human being.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sox, I love Chasing Fireflies! I think Emeline needs this.

I'd sort of like to do Owen and Olivia in this and this.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Ah, Matilda. One of these days, when we ask Lillian to guess where we're going this weekend, and she answers, "San Francisco?" she's going to have to be correct.

JZ - Aug 08, 2009 9:24:05 am PDT #19025 of 30000
See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

She is. She's really got to be correct some damn day.

Teppy, I am so sorry. All my good thoughts are going out to your stepdad and his family.

And ICompletelyON, I think ita needs this dress.

meara - Aug 08, 2009 9:31:58 am PDT #19026 of 30000

Ooh, ita totally needs that dress (but why the heck is it that much money, my god??)

I woke up at a shockingly decent hour this morning. I am amazed. I mean, I promptly got up, took some painkiller, and lolled in bed for another hour, and am now attempting to convince myself to go get some food, but...still!

Had a lovely evening flirting with friends, but am convinced that the world needs cartoon bubbles over everyone's head with useful information, or motivations, or something. I'm not sure what mine would say, or what information these need, but...SOMETHING.
