I've always wanted to find a guy willing to do a duet of Lyle Lovett's "What Do You Do" for karoake.
Honey, bring me the paper
And pour me a beer
Turn on the TV
Sweep up over here
You can tell me you love me
To put off my blues
But what do you do
When it quits being news?
Heh. Lewis and I used to sing this all the time in the car on road trips. I'd love to try "Somethin' Stupid" but the harmonies are so close, one of us inevitably drifts over into the other's line. We also used to do a pretty wicked rendition of the Dr. John/Rickie Lee Jones version of "Makin' Whoopee."
My shoulder is all taped up now. It's the same kind of tape that beach volleyball player had on her shoulder at the Olympics. I'm trying to pretend it makes me look sporty.
I'm CERTAIN you look sporty, Hil!
Makes me think of the Cymbalta commercial.
"But who does it hurt? It hurts professional sound designers..."
Sox, that situation totally sucks. I don't think you two are liable AT ALL, as things sold on C'list should totally be a "sold as is" scenario.
I'm CERTAIN you look sporty, Hil!
I think it would look sportier if the tape were black, or some color. It's that "skin-tone" color that only actually blends in on really pale people. It does seem to be helping a bit, and it isn't itchy after being on for several hours, which was my big worry. It just looks really silly.
I'm tempted to spend some time outside in a tanktop tomorrow, because I'll get a really neat tan pattern on that shoulder. It looks sort of like this, except beige instead of blue. [link]
Oh, also, I made an appointment with my doctor to have him look at my ankle and hip and probably give me a prescription for PT on those, too. I asked for the first available appointment. I got October.
When was the decision made that all kitchen floor mats must have pictures of roosters? [link] (I finally found one that I actually liked at Williams-Sonoma, but it was sold out.) Why so many rooster pictures, and not a single picture of any other animal? Fruit pictures are always either grapes or a fruit basket with several pears and no bananas, and vegetable pictures are nearly always peppers.
Edit: the internet tells me that those interlocking floor mats for kids work better and are way cheaper, so I found a set of those in pink and brown, which kind of works with my kitchen colors.
