'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I wish my stress was so efficient.

I was just thinking the same thing.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

my new dishwasher has more rack space. Sucker is STILL not full. I don't want to run a half empty machine, but dang it, I'm running out of plates!

ION, I woke up to find, what looks to be, a new A/C unit for my apartment. Not sure why. I didn't complain of bad A/C. Most curious. Need to call the front office.

not your mom's socks.

Hive Mind help needed: paging Sparky or any other gmail enabled lawyer type. We sold a hottub on craigslist - huge 6 person tub, $400. we've been getting daily updates from the (young) buyer about how expensive the hookup was, how he didn't expect to have to redo his outdoor electrical (new law here), and then how some fuses had blown and he had to pay for repairs. When he'd picked it up it was working, but he opted not to see the full fill-heat-up-empty process.

He's been going back and forth with DH, who is frustrated and angry at being accused of selling something busted.

he just initiated a payment rollback on paypal for $250. I want to say fine - go away. But i want him to really go the frack away.

Can we say we will give you this money back if you agree in writing to the following:

"we will agree to this if you write a statement that in no way holds us further responsible and acknowledges that this is a courtesy return only. That the parties do not agree where the damage occurred and as such this courtesy remit is solely for the purpose of severing the contact.

any further contact to us, our family, or any defamation of character in print, on line, or via voice will be met with a legal action on our parts."

that may be a mite strong. help.

huh, the gal at the rental office knows of *NO* a/c repair/replace orders for anyone in my building. And yet, there is a brand new one. Curious. Should I be paranoid? Is there some new gov't internet/tv/spy mechanism through the central air outdoor unit? (j/k. Not really paranoid of the gov't watching me).

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, Tep, I am so sorry. How awful to think he pulled through and was in rehab to recover and then to lose him. My thoughts are with you.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I actully collected things, knicknacks, bibelots, objets, little or large clusters of like things, or themed objects.

Until one day I looked at shelves under an eighth-inch of dust and thought, "Naaahhh, don'wanna." And thus the Great Migration of mathoms and gifts and ebay and Goodwill was begun. My instinct is still to collect, and to hoard. But I like not having the weight of things on my back, like the little muppet woman in Labyrinth. The kids were warned to take anything they liked and wanted, friends were offered things that suited them, that they'd admired, that would remind them of me.

It's so much easier to swipe a swiffer over that swath of bare wood in front of single-shelved books. Now if I could just maintain things that way....

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Hey omnis!

Are you only making it to R's dinner, or are you going to karaoke at The Point too?
