I misremebered a thing at work. We are trying to get rid of frivolous work orders being entered. I was questioned on one and answered that it was a maintenance team member that had me do the work order. Turns out, NSM. Maint team member *did* have me enter a work order that day, but not the one requesting sidewalk chalk for a resident manager. Now I'm afraid it looks like I was trying to cover my ass by lying. Which I totally wasn't! I just misremembered. Fuck fuck fuck.

Did you just keep on walking without even breaking stride or looking down? That tends to be the best way to deal with things like that.
