[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Cool beans.

Dad was not long back form WWII in the South Pacific when he met her. They were married six months after they met.

Too bad it's not color. Mom's auburn hair would probably stand out.

Coding and Sleeping

I dream of leaving this grumpy little isle behind and going somewhere more interesting.

I always thought the UK seemed like a pretty nice place. Well, the camera thing kinda creeps me out, but otherwise okay.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Good luck, Tom!

I'm post interview. Unlike the ad I applied to, in which they had two separate positions - information management and marketing, they decided to unite them into one. I'll be uneasy with marketing, but I'll be able to do it.

Also, I hate talking about myself in job/internship interviews. Give me something to do, and I'll do it. If I'll like you, I'll bring cookies to the office and share my ideas about philosophy of science with you. Is there really anything else to discuss?

Grumpy. I think it's all the rain...

Post-interview-job~ma, Shir! When do you find out if you got it?

Agreed. Up until the camera thing, I actually wanted to live there for a while. Which I can, with my British nationality.

I have no idea. And truth be told, I was a little bit hesitant after they suddenly changed the internship's description.

You mean the speed trap cameras catching cars on every big road, or the CCTV on every street corner? Both are annoying...

It has its pros and cons, living here, but I get bored easily. Mainly with the weather. I swear we've had about five hours of sunshine all summer.

And truth be told, I was a little bit hesitant after they suddenly changed the internship's description.

Interesting. That does seem quite an odd thing to do.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Test~ma to Tom (though I agree with Barb -- he'll probably sail through it on a light summer breeze, ~ma or no ~ma).

Lovely picture, Daniel. And I've only seen a couple of pictures of you, but even so I can definitely see your mom in your face.

Meh. Don't want to go to work. Don't want to sit down with boss and talk about my future, and why I want to apply for this other job. Need to do it anyway. Meh meh meh.

They're a non-profit organization. I get why they did it, I don't get the timing to do so. We emailed each other for two weeks, it was clear to what I applied. Asking me to do extra on the interview in an area I didn't apply to in the first place is, yes, odd. However, beggars can't be choosers. I'll keep looking for other internships and jobs.

And I meant that CCTV thing.

My sister. It's not like I have a job, but I just hate this sort of communication.

I just need to start my own project. Then I won't have to go through all of these "what can you bring to the job?" questions. I take Pam's approach (The Office) to this: "It's on the card" - "I send you my CV. I don't lie when I say I think I can do this. I have work ethic by the tons. Can't we all just get along? Oh, look, butterfly!".

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Test~ma for Tom!

I'm leaving in a few minutes to meet a friend for lunch whose father is dying and whose marriage may be falling apart. I have absolutely no idea what I can even say to her.
