[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh connie, I'm so sorry.
Happy birthday Deena!
I'm making tacos for dinner tonight. I've been wanting to make this recipe for a while, but it requires more pans than I own, so I'm making it now while I'm visiting my parents. I'm also reading Julie & Julia, watching the Food Network, and thinking about Michael Pollan's article in the Times yesterday claiming that nobody cooks anymore and the country is going to hell in a handbasket because of it, so I'm having a rather foodie day.
And because it deserves a post of its own, Birthday Felicitations, Deena! May there be cake, and sparklers, and hugs and kisses and wishes that come true!

And, Barb, you ok? Glad you got a little rest, there.
Here are those two sleep related stories I heard on NPR this morning.

I went over to Conquer Club to see if it was my turn to play on any of the games, and I can't help but notice it's Sean's turn on ALL of them. I see how it is! Once ya get a lady friend, you can't spend time with us anymore. Jeesh man.
Clearly he's trying to establish a reputation as a lover, not a fighter.
Happy birthday Deena!
AUGH. was not thinking, and did not download bills off website before switching carriers. Now am on hold with old carrier hoping to get last couple bills so I can do my expense reports from the last couple months (um, which I'd obviously been putting off). DOH!!!
Thanks for the birthday happies! In a bit of synchronicity, we're also having tacos for dinner--the tacos of my childhood, with refried beans and corn tortillas and melty cheese. I canNOT wait for dinner. No cake or sparklers, but I do have peanut M&Ms.
I wonder who those people are who don't cook. I think they are not us.
Because it bears repeating: Happy Birthday, Deena!

By "nobody" Mr. Pollan refers to The Womenfolk, it seems to me.
