Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Rosemary's really good with squash or zucchini too.

yes, I was thinking rosemary would be delicious in ratatouille.

I so want this. [link]

I so am deeply weird.

Well then so am I. I covet the chef's knife.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Happy anniversaries, Sox and DH, and Kristin and Drew!

Thanks for the good wishes about our happy cancellation discovery :) So nice to have somewhere to share good news.

Wow, that was a busy Saturday. Afternoon meeting of a group I volunteer with (the LGBT 'wing' of a summer liberal Christian festival I'm involved with), followed by helping The Girl to close down a show she's been working on. I think bed now...

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, that was good news to get the desired location on the desired day. Happy planning the rest of the wedding.

Love the shower curtain, but I have glass doors on our showers. Now the chef's knife I could use.

The status is NOT quo.

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes. I am very amused by the fact that I am alone at the Orlando airport. Is there anything sadder than a woman spending her anniversary eating by herself at a hotel bar in the land of the Mouse?

(To clarify--not in any way in need of hairpats here. I really do think it's funny.)

Our wings are not tired.

Bad timing. I was eating and drinking alone at the Orlando airport on Thursday. The Ruby Tuesday's salad bar wasn't bad.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy Anniversary, Sox and DH, and Kristin and Drew.

Happy civil union day planning, Seska - so glad you got the location that you wanted.

To Nora and JZ, continued wishes for perfect new jobs to come through for you soon. Or even tolerably decent new jobs right away.

OH! Speaking of making kids do stuff, I got a couple paddle balls for my cats today. Ok, its really the paddle balls themselves that have anything at all to do with kids - as my mom used to use the wooden paddles to spank us with, once the rubber band broke. Anyway, the cats find these things highly amusing, as Harvey has figured out that the rubber band makes the ball come back to him. Sammie is simulataneously enjoying batting at the handle to make the paddle move in circles as it lies on the floor.

Totally bad timing! I would have loved to have dinner with you (or any of our Florida Buffistas). I'm only here overnight, though, and I am utterly exhausted. It's probably just as well that I had to eat dinner on my own here. I'm going to take a nice hot bath now to soothe my oh-so-out-of-shape muscles that are recovering from working out the past two days, and then I'll probably read for an hour and go to bed super early.

{{{Nora}}} I'm sorry you have a soul-sucking job like JZ. I wish I could make it happen for you with a wave of my magic wand. (Where is that pesky magic wand when I need it?)

“Not dead yet!”

It's rumbling and thundery and the dogs woke me up at 6:00, so I'm already in jammies and in bed, watching the ball game. Had spicy wings for dinner and Abby made brownies for dessert. Things may be crazy and up in the air, but all in all, life is good.
