BT, I'm so glad your nephew is doing so well. And yay for Ryan continuing to be so adorable.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I don't see what people like that are worried about; sounds like they are zombies already.
I cannot stop watching the shiny new TV. I didn't realize how crappy the old TV truly was.
Yay sleepy BT spawn!

That's sort of how I feel about my new mattress. I woke up for the second morning in a row today with no back pain at all. I hadn't realized that waking up achy had become my normal state until it stopped.

That's Judge Slacker Grandpa.
That's Judge Slacker Grandpa.
When we're in that kind of mood we just call him "Rough Justice".
I wish to thank the Reasons for bringing reasonable summer weather to Portland. At least for last night. Within hours of their arrival, the temperature cooled to a totally tolerable level. Once i got home last night, i turned off the AC and slept with all windows flung wide open, delighting in the breeze and even getting chilly enough to pull my sheet up over my feet. I may regret leaving the ac off today while i'm at work, but the breeze was just too delish to lock out this morning as i was leaving for work.
Oh yeah, and the book event was fun too.
bt, that sounds like an AWESOME week. Well, except for Slacker!Grandpa. Is it due to busy schedule? Or is there family friction? Can't imagine wanting to not see such an adorable baby.
I cannot stop watching the shiny new TV. I didn't realize how crappy the old TV truly was.I've had mine for a year now, and am still in the same boat. Upgraded from a floor model 29" CRT to a brand spanking new 42" LCD. To this day I marvel at how much better the image is. And as a result, am watching a *lot* more TV and movies. Now I need to upgrade the hi-fi, so the movies *sound* better as well.

Question for the hive mind. I am going to make an attempt to do some mild work outs. I will be attacking the exercise bike at the free gym in our apartment complex. Dual pronged reason. Primary reason: to burn off some of this fat (well, hopefully a LOT of it). Secondary reason: to get legs up to par so buying a trike isn't a total waste of money. So the question, is it better to "ride" for a longer duration with less/little resistance, or shorter with more? I seem to recall something about cardio needs to be x minutes long to get the heart rate up, and after y minutes, it's not burning all that much calories. But, I could be wrong. Anyone know off the tops of heads, so I don't have to waste time searching the internet?

We went through that too. We replaced a 24" RCA CRT that was never all that great with a 37" LCD and the difference with the same SDTV input was amazing. Looking at photos on the TV was especially a whole new experience.
That probably explains why Coraline in 3-D was not very 3-D on our old 27 inch CRT made in the last century.
